Life Story for Christopher Joseph Erickson

Christopher Joseph Erickson, of Acton, died peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Walden Health and Rehabilitation Center in Concord. He was 58 years old. He was the beloved husband of Faith (MacLennan) Erickson to whom he was married 24 years.

Mr. Erickson was born in Framingham to Robert and Anna Maria (Hohmann) Erickson. He grew up in Milford, but eventually moved to Longmeadow and Ludlow, graduating from Cathedral High School in Springfield. He was a proud graduate of Notre Dame and also earned his MBA from Northeastern. Mr. Erickson worked for the Digital Equipment Corporation in the United Kingdom. He proceeded to work for various other high tech firms in the area. Most recently, he was employed as a consultant with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Chris lived for a time in Florida with his wife Faith when they both worked for DEC. After their marriage, they moved to Acton where they would raise their son Kyle. He loved to spend time with his family, especially trips to Martha's Vineyard, Tanglewood and Freeport, Maine.

Christopher leaves his wife of 24 years, Faith (MacLennan) Erickson and their son Kyle Patrick Erickson, both of Acton. He is also survived by his father Robert Erickson and his wife Jean. He was a dear brother to Andrea Erickson, Sandy Fidalgo, Susan Strycharz, Michael Erickson and Roberta Curzio. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a large extended loving family. He was predeceased by his mother Anna Maria Erickson.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, June 9 from 4:00-7:00pm in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rt. 111) Acton. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 11:00am in Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square Concord. Those attending are kindly asked to proceed directly to the church.
