The expression,"The lights were on and someone was home", comes to mind as I remember Chris. As Freshman at Notre Dame, we came from all over the world and from different backgrounds, so quickly understanding where "someone was coming from", as they spoke was one of Chris's gifts. One felt, calm, embraced and understood, simply by him listening to them. Remarkable and unforgettable! By his brief presence, he made my life and the lives of those he touched better by him being in it. I am grateful to have known him.
