Born in Boston on July 16, 1939, he was the son of the late James and Mary Aloysisus (Hurley) Walsh. The beloved husband of Roberta M. (Walsh) Walsh, he is also survived by a daughter, Christine Walsh-Okwuosa and her husband Jeremy Okwuosa of Kennebunk, ME; a son, John Walsh and his wife Michelle of Charleston, SC; brothers, Paul Walsh of Malden, Donny Walsh of South Boston; a sister, Carol Barretto and husband Nick of Medford; grandchildren, Isabelle Okwuosa, John and Sydney Walsh. Elliot was predeceased by his parents, his brothers James, Leo, his twin Edward and a sister, Marie Considine.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korea Era, Elliot attended both Boston University and Northeastern University, worked as the General Manager of Carl Spector Shoe Company in Boston for years before working for the U.S. Postal Service from which he retired 12 years ago. Elliot always had a love of sports, especially baseball. When he was young he was a bat boy for the Boston Red Sox during the Ted Williams era.
