Italia

Dear Russ, Nicole and John,

I am sorry that Russ & I are unable to be with you at this time.  Both your parents were always special to Russ & I came to love them also since I met them in 1959.

We always enjoyed being with Italia.  She told us many times of her young years in Udine, Italy especially during the war years.  It must have been very frightening for a beautiful young girl during the time that the enemy had taken control of their area.  She told us of the times that her family had to hide her.  She met Uncle Louis after the Americans gained control.  She came to the US as a new bride with other young wives to be reunited with their husbands here in the USA.

She would be proud of Nicole taking charge of collecting and preparing the clothes and Rosary beads that she wanted to be laid at rest with after her death.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and know that Aunt Italia is at rest now.

We will plan to come in May on our way north.

Love,

Russ & Ann
