Arlene (Elliott)   Tobin
Maynard, MA: Arlene (Elliott) Tobin, 85, of Maynard, MA, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Tobin Sr. who died in 1986 and leaves her loving children, John J. Tobin Jr. of Maynard, MA and his long time girlfriend, Karen Kenney of Bedford, MA, Lynda Tomasetti and husband Paul of Southboro, MA, Diane Richards and husband Kevin of Campton, NH and Meg Plante and husband Mark of Marlboro. She was predeceased by her son William Tobin. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Mia and Gina Tomasetti, Molly and Maddy Plante, Joshua and Jeremy Tobin and all her favorite nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joanne Martell.

Arlene was born and raised in Concord, MA, daughter of the late Percy R. and Margaret (Andersen) Elliott. She graduated from Concord High School. She was a longtime resident of Maynard and along with her husband John, they owned and operated Tobin Vending of Maynard for many years.

Arlene enjoyed the formative years of her children and truly looked forward to entertaining them and all their friends at her home in Maynard. She loved the winter months and traveling to the camp in Ellsworth, NH to hit the snowmobile trails with friends and family. She always looked forward to vacationing at York Beach in Maine or sitting by the family pool during the summer months. She loved her weekly visits to the China Ruby. She was a true and devoted N.E. Patriots fan. Most of all she cherished her family and leaves all who loved and knew her the memories of a kind and giving woman.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton, MA 01720. A service and celebration of Arleneā€™s life will be held on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Urn burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, MA in the spring.
