Condolences

Condolence From: Ginnie
Condolence: I'm truly sorry for the loss of your loved one. Maybe these words found in God's Word will comfort you during this sorrowful time. Psalms 34:18 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." My deepest condolences to the family.

Condolence: My deep condolences to the family and friends of Vera. I can tell from reading her obituary that she was a truly wonderful person, I was especially moved by the mention of her involvement with immigrant communities as I come from one, and her love of NPR, as I also love listening to it. In your time of mourning, I'd like to share some comforting thoughts from the scriptures. The Bible speaks of a time when there will be no more death or suffering. I have found comfort in the words recorded at Revelation 21:4 where it says, "And he will wipe every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away." I also find the words recorded at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 reassuring, it reads, "Praised be the God and father of our lord Jesus Christ, the father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." I hope you can lean on God to give you comfort in your time of need. If you'd like to read some more comforting words from the Bible, please feel free to visit JW.org

Condolence From: Lupick Family
Condolence: Our family is so sad at the loss of Vera. Our Children had grown to see Vera not just as Finn and Liam's Grandmother but as their own special friend. She listened closely to their tales, laughed at their jokes and encouraged them in everything they showed an interest in. So much of our summer memories in New Denver include Vera, long beach days, or afternoons at Bannock Point, the occasional hike or a trip to the hot springs. on each return trip to the valley Vera would call on my 92 year old mother, taking the time to listen to her stories and share her own. She was kind, thoughtful, inclusive and so supportive.
As the reality of Vera's passing becomes part of our everyday we know she will always be part of our summers in New Denver.

Condolence: Constant as the Northern Star, Vera lit our lives with her light and gentle kindness.
She will live on in our memories...God is watching us, from a distance we are instruments, marching in a common band, playing songs of hope, playing songs of peace, they are songs of everyone. May Vera rest in peace and nestle in the lap of God.

Condolence: Vera was such a lovely, sweet woman. She always had a smile on her face and her joie de vive was infectious. Vera was soft-spoken but determined, and her dedication to swimming and exercise was an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed in the pool by all the "water ladies" at Thoreau. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family at this time.

Condolence: Vera has been in my water exercise class at the Thoreau Club for many years. I always admired how she would do our whole hour long class and also swim a half mile! She was amazing. Vera was remarkably consistent maintaining her work outs at the pool. I once asked her about it - wondering how she did it, when did she start and how did she keep going. Vera listened to my questions, then smiled and said in her graciously unassuming way, "Well Deborah, I guess you just have to do it!" No secret formula, no fancy plans, no fanfare - "Just do it!"

So there you have it! Vera was a warm, quiet, kind, and gracious woman. Yet strong and determined and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her wonderful spirit will stay with us all for a long time to come and we will miss her.

Condolence: Knowing Vera gave me the opportunity to really understand what empathy is all about. She demonstrated empathy in everything she did, every day, and with everyone she interacted with. We all felt it and we all feel proud and privileged that Vera was part of our lives. She is an inspiration to all, yesterday, today and forever. She will be missed.

Condolence: There were many tears in the water aerobics class last Thursday when we gathered on the day following her passing. Many of the water ladies spoke of her smile, her kindness, her gentle spirit, and of the joy that she brought to life and to those who knew her. My deepest condolences to all of those lucky enough to have had her in their lives.

Condolence: One of the sweetest and kindest persons I have had the privilege to know. Vera wore a bright smile for everyone and had a kind word always. I will deeply miss her warmth and friendliness as will all of the “water ladies” at Thoreau Club.

Condolence: Vera will be missed by me and all the other "water ladies" at Thoreau. She was one of the sweetest women and always showed up with a smile on her face. We were usually in the same part of the pool for class and there will be a Vera shaped hole in the water there, and in our hearts, for a long, long time.
