Obituary for Anne Marie (Broderick) Mahoney

Anne Marie (Broderick) Mahoney, 83, a longtime Lincoln, MA resident and formerly of Lexington, MA died early Friday morning, June 9, 2017 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Mahoney, who passed away in 1980.

Born in Concord, MA she was the daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Anna B. (Connolly) Broderick. In her early years the family lived in Lincoln where Mrs. Mahoney attended the public schools, and later moved to Lexington. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Waltham, she was employed for many years as a health aide in the Lincoln schools. An avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed reading, bingo, and Boston Bruins hockey. A "people person" she especially loved to socialize, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Mahoney was the loving mother of Dennis Mahoney, Karen Mahoney and husband Stephen Lanza, Susan Prokowiew, and Sharon Collura and her late husband, Joe. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Trefethen and Patricia Shover; 8 grandchildren and extended family. She was the sister of the late Lawrence Broderick.

Visiting hours are Tuesday June 13th, 2017 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday June 14th at 11:30am in St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, with burial following in Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford Street, Lexington.
