Condolence From: "RD" DAVID CHATMAN AND CALEB
Condolence: UNCLE DON, YOU WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. MY FIRST MEMORY OF YOU WAS SITTING ON THE FRONT PORCH OF THE HOUSE IN WATER VALLEY. WATCHING STORMS ROLL IN AND WHAT ENDED UP BEING A SMALL TORNADO. SPENDING SUMMER VACATIONS WITH YOU AND AUNT WANDA AND THE GIRLS. VISITING NEW ENGLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME AND SO MUCH MORE. I NEVER REMEMBER A HARSH WORD, JUST INTERESTING STORIES AND THOUGHTS AND A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE. YOUR LOVE FOR YOUR FAMILY, TECHNOLOGY, THE WATER AND TRAVEL. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MEMORIES. I KNOW AUNT WANDA AND LARA AND KAREN WILL MISS YOU GREATLY AND THE GRANDBABIES TOO. I LOVE YOU ALL AND YOUR ALL IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. WISH CALEB HAD A CHANCE TO SPEND WITH YOU GUYS.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear about Don's passing. I have thought about Don and Wanda many times over the last few months, and sent many prayers their way. My heart goes out to Wanda and family. I am sending love and hugs.
I have been a friend of Wanda's since the 7th grade in East Detroit(now Eastpoint), Michigan. We remained best friends until graduation and we went our separate ways. We have managed to stay in contact all these years, and of course attending each others weddings. That was my first meeting with Don. I have wished many times that we(us two couples) lived closer and could get together regularly.
All will be well, as nothing is impossible with God. You will all once again have Peace and Joy.

I remember gratefully how much Don (and Wanda) helped me adjust to a new life in Acton, especially the daily ride to and from work -- usually sharing the back seat with Laura. Don and I spent most of our careers concurrently at Raytheon, although not usually on the same program. In one instance, we were on the same development program. Don, as those who knew him would expect, was deeply engaged in making a proof-of-principle model installed in the back of a C-141 aircraft work, while I was spinning stories about how the system would some day fit on the head of a pin (almost). It was generally conceded that Don was the more successful.

It is said that that one measure of a man's life is how many people miss hime when he is gone. I am sure that Don measures high
