Since the fourth grade he sang in church choirs, including St. Isidore's Church in Stow and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Acton. A member of local bowling leagues, he also liked biking to stay in condition and participated in several cycling fundraisers. He loved spending time with his wife and children and their families, and always put his family first.
