June “Claire” (Tourville) Buonomo of Hudson, MA formerly of Maynard, MA joined the angels of her family due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease on May 1, 2020 at the Coleman House in Northborough just a month shy of her 89th birthday.

Claire, as everyone knew her, was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Bedard) Tourville who along with her sisters Arlene O. Larsen and Lorraine Cush, and brothers Terry and Donald Tourville, all predeceased her.

Claire was born in Ware, MA but moved to Maynard in 1940 where she was raised and graduated from Maynard High School Class of 1950. She worked as a waitress at The Meadow’s, Russo’s and Alphonse's before becoming the function hostess at Alphonse's, were she worked for 19 years.

Claire fell in love and married her beloved husband of 66 years, John Buonomo, on July 4, 1954. They began their life together in Maynard then moved to Hudson in 1963, where they raised their 3 children.

Claire was a hostess by trade but actually a fantastic hostess at life. Her greatest memories were times surrounded by family and friends where she loved to entertain and astound everyone with her amazing talent in the kitchen. Her recipes for meals and flair for baking was magic in itself.

The center of Claire’s life was her family which she cherished wholeheartedly. In addition to John she leaves behind a daughter Michelle Buonomo and her partner Ken Noyes of Wethersfield, CT., a son Mark Buonomo and his fiancé Dianne Mitchell of Worcester, MA, and a daughter Tina (Buonomo) Whalen and her husband Tom Whalen of Hudson, MA. She had a special place in her heart that belonged to her grandchildren Christina Herrick and her husband Ryan, who gave Claire her two great grandchildren Lila and Sophia, Sean Burdzy of Hamden, CT., and Ian Whalen and his fiancé Kaity Stone of Somerville, MA.

Claire had an infectious smile and a big heart that was obvious to anyone who came in contact with her. Her sassy wit and adorable ribbing was a hit wherever she went. She departed this earth with a treasure trove of full memories, cherished moments big and small, of time spent with those that she loved.

Claire was a constant planner and as such had many instructions for what she wanted when she moved on from this earth. But unfortunately the current health situation and government regulations have taken that away from her, and her graveside service in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, MA will be held privately with the family that she loved so much. A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.
