Obituary for Ruth M. (White) Malinowski

January 8, 2020- Ruth M. (White) Malinowski, 75, died peacefully at home with her children and best friend of 58 years, Catherine Kilgore of Shrewsbury, MA, by her side. Born May 1, 1944 in Miami, Florida and later moving to Hull, Massachusetts, Ruth's undying love for the ocean was born. Time spent at Nantasket Beach would be a childhood memory she would pass along to her own children and grandchildren.

After graduating in May, 1965 from nursing school, Ruth and Her husband of 51 years, Robert, "Bob", Malinowski, had the absolute pleasure of retaining a group of seven couples from Worcester City School of Nursing as close friends their entire lives. They were a tightknit group, broken only in death.

Ruth enjoyed a career as a nurse, working in oncology, hospice and finally retiring in homecare. She became a beloved grandmother of her three grandchildren, Chad and Quinn of Sterling, MA, and Robert "Roby" Malinowski of Fitchburg, MA.

Ruth enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, shopping and watching her grandson race Motocross with the New England Sports Committee, known to her other family as "Team 23's Grammy." She enjoyed time with her grandson Roby, most recently looking for villains and solving mysteries during an intense battle in a game of "Clue". Her granddaughter, Quinn will miss her many shopping trips, followed by delicious lunches.

Ruth was predeceased but her parents, Clarence "Carney" White and Ruth (Weydener) White of Hull, MA. Burial will be private in Brookside Cemetery, Stow, Massachusetts, where her beloved husband, Bob, was laid to rest, on September 27, 2017.

Ruth leaves her son Robert J. "Rob" Malinowski Jr. of Stow, MA; her daughter Laura A. Malinowski of Sterling, MA; her brother Carney and his partner Linda of Scituate, MA; her brother Donald and his wife Debbie of Carver, MA; her Brother Howard and his wife Jeannie of Maine; and her sister, Robin and her Wife, Andrea of The Carolina's. The Family is Planning a celebration of the life of Ruth sometime in May, 2020.
