Lucille Mary “Mary Lou” (Russo) Gedick, 79, of Maynard died at Emerson Hospital on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.
Mary Lou was born in Winchester, MA daughter of the late Victor and Lucy (Rufo) Russo. She was raised in Newton and was a 1958 graduate of Newton H.S. She was employed by Raytheon and PageNet for a short time prior to her being home to raise her children and care for their home. She has resided in Maynard since 2008. In her spare time, Mary Lou enjoyed crocheting, oil painting and always enjoyed reading a good novel. Most of all she cherished being with her family.
Mary Lou was the beloved wife of 44 years to Richard J. Gedick Sr. who died in 2005 and leaves her two sons, Eric and Keith Gedick. She was predeceased by her son, Richard J. Gedick Jr. in 1996. She also leaves her sister, Dottie Houck and her husband Malcom of Maynard; her grandchildren, Richard, Christina, Alex and Rebecca; her step-grandchildren, Tracy and Amanda along with Amanda’s daughter Lily.
Following cremation, the family is planning a celebration of Mary Lou’s life for some time in July of 2020.
