Obituary for Frederick John "Moe" Morreale Sr.

Maynard, MA

Frederick John Morreale Sr., 82, a longtime resident of Maynard, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Frederick, or fondly referred to as “Moe” by all who knew him leaves his four children, Deborah J. Haywood-McMillan of Palmer, MA, John Frederick Morreale Sr. and wife Elizabeth of Lunenburg, MA, Frederick John Morreale Jr. and his longtime companion Jameli Harvey of Maynard, MA and Brandon Morreale of Worcester, MA. He also leaves his five grandchildren, Maurice J. Haywood III, Lee P. Haywood, John F. Morreale Jr., Evan Morreale, Emily McMillan and a great granddaughter, Isabella Haywood; three sisters, Ada Brayden and Dottie Hendrick, both of Hudson, MA, Charlotte Sasser of Mississippi; his companion of many years, Brenda Byron of Acton, MA along with his many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Charles Jr., Richie, and Eddie Morreale.

Fred was born in Waltham, MA and raised in Weston, MA, son of the late Charles and Ada (Ferranti) Morreale. Fred was a contractor by trade and owned and operated “Fred’s Aluminum & Insulation Company” for many years in the Maynard area until retiring in 2015.

Fred enjoyed the day to day operation of his business, meeting and proudly servicing the many folks he met through his business. He enjoyed vacations and later trips to Aruba with his dear friend Brenda. Most of all he looked forward to a long ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle whenever the opportunity arose. Spending time with his family, especially later with his grandchildren was always special. The wonderful memories he leaves behind will always be cherished by all who loved and knew him.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 10th 2-5pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave, (Rte 111) Acton. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 11:00 am in Glenwood Cemetery, (use Great Road, Rt. 117 entrance), Maynard, MA.
