My family moved to Acton in 1967 and I joined Kim in that epic 4th grade class with Mrs. Barrett. Our class has been glued together ever since. Kim is one of the all-stars. She is a bright light to all our classmates, her family, and her friends. We cherish the wonderful memories that Kim impressed on us all.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Kim’s passing. I met Kim when we lived in the same neighborhood (1967 ?) My family had to move to NY in ‘69 ,so while it was a short time, I will never forget her warm, kind smile. We rarely spoke over the next 50 years but she did leave a place in my heart. My most sincere condolences to all Kim’s family and friends.Rest in peace Kim and keep smiling.

My special loving friendship with Kim goes back 48 years! I have many fond, happy, joyful and sad memories of those years with my dear friend. The summer before high school we began to hangout (as we called it then). One day Kim comes barreling down my street on Musket Drive on one of those BOY bikes with the funny handlebars as she screeches to a stop and tosses the bike onto my driveway! Kim and I then walk to the West Acton Fair. I recall that our mothers did not know where we went! The days of freedom! That was the beginning of our friendship!

As the years past, we remained as close as sisters. I was in Kim and Jan's wedding as she was in mine. We always made it a point to see one another as I had moved to NJ. As our children started to arrive, we reminisced of our times together and laughed and laughed! Kim was so proud of her children and loved her husband Jan.

Three weeks ago was the last time I saw my dearest friend Kim. She looked beautiful, serene and the loving woman she was.
I will miss Kim forever and what she always called me. KKK Katie

My sister Kim was a beautiful soul inside and out. There is so much I could say but will leave it with excerpts from Kim's favorite song: Sailing. "Well it's not far down to paradise... if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility....sailing takes me away to where I've always wanted to be...." Christopher Cross.

My heart is broken, my life changed forever but knowing you were in it for as long as you were gives me peace. I love you Kim Reidy Kapstad. Rest in peace with mom, dad, Mark, John, Farfar and Farmor.
