Obituary for Janet E. Daniel (Inglis)
Janet E. (Inglis) Daniel, 85, passed peacefully at her Acton, MA residence on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019. She was born in Liverpool, England in 1934 and was the beloved wife of Michael R. Daniel for 59 years.
While living in England, Janet trained as a midwife and assisted in over 200 births. She emigrated with her family from England to Pennsylvania in 1968, where they resided until 1997. Janet and Michael retired to Hudson, MA and then moved to Acton, MA in 2013.
Janet volunteered for many organizations; among her favorites were Girl Scouts, church choirs and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid bowler and played the piano. Janet also enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and traveling abroad.
She is survived by her husband Michael; son Alec Daniel; daughters Zoë Daniel and Debra Lustiber and her husband Paul; and 5 grandchildren: Graham, Maggie, Shannon, Sion and Maeve.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton on Friday, Sept. 13th from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Her funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janet may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
