Obituary for Josephine T. "Jo" (Micciche) Horne
Josephine T. (Micciche) Horne, 88, of Acton, MA, passed peacefully Tuesday August 27, 2019 in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul R. Horne, and is survived by two children, Paula M. Schmidt and husband Rob of Harvard, and David N. Horne of CT.; grandchildren Melissa Freedman, Marcia Rongone and husband Nick, and Jon Schmidt; and great-grandchildren Sofia and Anthony Rongone, and Sam and Joe Freedman.
Josephine was born in Boston and grew up in East Boston and Roslindale and had many happy memories to share about her rich family life and adventures. Throughout her life, family remained a top priority and she loved staying close with everyone and always had a kind word. She was also very much her own woman and stayed up with the latest trends whether they be Facebook, Netflix or the latest styles. Her later years were spent doing her favorite hobbies like spending time with friends and she loved to garden, especially at the community garden, seeing who could grow the biggest tomatoes. She was a wonderful person and was dearly loved by all who met her and will be sorely missed.
Visiting hours are Saturday August 31st from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home service at 1;00 P.M. with burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford Rd., Concord.
