Born in Concord, MA, son of the late George and Delima (Christian) Dow. Affectionately known as "Bobby" and "Bobby Dow," he was raised in West Concord, MA and served in the US Navy immediately after the Korean conflict aboard the USS Leyte (CV-32). He was honorably discharged and settled in Littleton in 1958. As a member of Local Union #4, he was a heavy equipment operator working for many companies through the years.
Bobby was affectionately known as “the Mayor of Littleton” since he knew so many of the townfolk. He enjoyed playing golf with nephew, Jeff Price, and other friends occasionally. His activities included a yearly vegetable garden and wood working in his amply supplied workshop. A favorite pastime was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events when they were younger. He had a love for youngsters and would take time to talk and interact with them. Of course, in his later years he couldn’t pass up a few hours at a casino or buying a daily dose of scratch tickets.
