Obituary for William M. Maloney

William M. Maloney, 85, died peacefully March 2, 2019 in Lancaster, MA.

Born in Medford and raised in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Michael and Alice (Gilbert) Maloney. Mr. Maloney graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in Cambridge, and moved to Carlisle with his parents in 1965. He served honorably in the US Air Force with the 58th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod during the Korean War. He began his career as a volunteer with the Carlisle Fire Department, then worked as an EMT/paramedic for the Town of Billerica. He later taught at the North East Regional Police Institute, where he was affectionately known as “Dr. Doom.”

Mr. Maloney is survived by a daughter Caitlin Blasco; sons, Ronald Daniel Maloney, W. Christian Maloney and Barry Silva and their families; a sister Sheila Maloney; and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was the brother of the late Joan Mary Albertelli, John "Jack" Maloney, Eleanor Burke, Patricia McInerny.
