Allen was a wonderful person. When he was Highway Superintendent and I was a newly minted Tree Warden he was always someone that I could rely on for help and advice. In all my years of working with Allen I never heard him say a nasty word about anyone. A true gentleman

A few years ago, my wife and I went to get a Christmas tree (always at the Farm). While my wife was looking over the selections, I stopped to have a chat with Dad. He asked me to hold a tree while he cut the trunk, and cheerfuly said "that's how you turn a $20 tree into a $40 tree". Allen (Dad) was truly a humble, honest, and hard-working man and will be sorely missed. I truly enjoyed the time spent talking when I dropped by.
-All our love, Jeff and Kelly

Dear Allen's family,
How sad to know that long ago neighbor Allen is gone - a fixture of the Parker- School St. farm community.
How that smile brings a memory of playing kick-the can with the Nelson girls and Allen chuckling with good-natured fun when he'd snag my cap and wing it across the yard or up on the barn roof. I'm sure you all have wonderful memories too and will share your loved one in the stories you tell.
