Obituary for Ronald B. Boudreau

Ronald B. Boudreau, 73, of Boxborough, MA died on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, MA peacefully, with his family by his side.

Ron was born in Manchester, CT, raised in Woburn, MA, and son of the late Albert and Pauline (Doucette) Boudreau. He studied at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and enjoyed a five-decade career in the mechanical, biotechnology, and electronic engineering industries.

Professionally, Ron was proud to have designed and built some amazing and meaningful tools including a flexible camera device used during 9/11 search and rescue, and also a medical device used in modern heart valve surgeries. He was always eager to tackle a challenging problem, and believed in common sense solutions.

Ron was a life-long car enthusiast and restored many of his family’s cars. Uniquely, he even designed and raced Formula cars in his youth. He always had something happening in his machine shop but would drop anything to help a friend.

Ron leaves his loving wife of 39 years, Cynthia E. (Merrill) Boudreau and his daughter Jennifer Boudreau, PT and her husband David Shi, MD along with their son Jacob.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Ave., (Rt. 111), Acton, MA. A private graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton at a later date.
