Patricia Amelia (Fahey) teDuits, formerly of Acton, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2019.
Born in 1936 to James and Amelia Fahey (Yonkers, NY), graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Pat began her young career with Kenyan and Eckhart Advertising Agency in New York City. After multiple years working in Manhattan and enjoying summers at the Jersey Shore, Pat settled down and married John P. teDuits (Davenport, IA) moving to Jackson Heights (NY) and later Floral Park (NY), where all three of her son’s were born. After briefly relocating to Mount Lebanon (PA), Pat and her family moved to Acton (MA), which would be “home” for the entirety of her adult life. While in Acton, Pat enjoyed a two-decade career at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish (Acton, MA).
In her retirement, Pat enjoyed participating in her weekly aerobic classes, traveling w/ her husband to St. Marten and numerous European destinations, meeting friends for lunch and dazzling on-lookers with her effortless ballroom dances with her devoted and predeceased husband John. Pat will be remembered for her contagious smile, warm personality and hearty laughs; she will be deeply missed by all.
Pat is survived by her sister, Gail L. Platt (New York, NY), son Christopher and wife Lisa teDuits (Groton, MA), son Robert teDuits and wife Nancy Roth (Charlestown, MA), son M. Craig teDuits (Norwood, MA) in addition to her eight grandchildren: Ryan, Bradley, Colin, Michael, Kristen, Andrew, John & William, and ten-year companion Peter McGarry (Westford, MA).
Relatives and friends are warmly invited to pay their respects on Friday, March 22nd from 5-8 p.m.; at the Acton Funeral Home (470 Massachusetts Ave., Acton, MA). A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on March 23rd at St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary Parish, 89 Arlington Street, Acton, MA. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton, MA.
