Obituary for Chung Tien Liu

Chung Tien Liu, 102, of Acton, MA, formerly of Taiwan, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Ai-Hsiang (Huang) Liu who died in 1993.

He leaves his son, Stephen S. Liu and wife Lily S. of Acton, MA; his daughter, Young Ching Lin and husband Chaung of Taiwan; his 5 loving grandchildren and his great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Shyan Yaw Liou.

Born in the Fukien Province of China, son of the late Kuan-Ching Liu and Kao-Shih (Kao) Liu, Chung Tien was raised in China and later resided in Taiwan. He was a retired Postmaster for the Taiwan Postal Service. He immigrated to the United States from Taiwan in 1995 and resided in Acton, MA until his passing.

He had many interests throughout his long life which included reading and sharing books with friends. One of his favorite past times was hiking in his spare time. He enjoyed playing the piano for family and friends and was fondly referred to as the “Piano Man” by his close friends. He was an inspiration to his family whom will cherish their many wonderful memories forever.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. with a service and celebration of Chung Tien’s life to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rt. 111) Acton, MA.
