Obituary for Domenick Joseph Nania, Sr.

Domenick J. Nania, Sr., 86, on July 26, 2018, a long-time resident of Acton, MA, passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Fossato Serralta, Italy in 1931, emigrated to the United States in 1937, and was raised in New York. Domenick served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated with an engineering degree from Pratt Institute and worked in the manufacturing industry throughout his career. In 1967, Domenick moved his family to Massachusetts to start a business with colleagues. Although the business changed over time, his role as VP of Manufacturing remained until his retirement. He was a handyman and jack of all trades who enjoyed relaxing at his second home on Cape Cod. What Domenick cherished most was spending time with loved ones.

Domenick was the beloved husband of Angela for 60 years. He leaves his children Mariangela and her husband Ken, Frank and his wife Lo, and Domenick Jr. He also leaves his sister Theresa and her husband Frank, his nieces and nephew, as well as extended family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Francesco and his mother Maria.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Kate of Care Dimensions for the exceptional service and care she provided to Domenick.
