Retired Captain, Boston Fire Department

CONNELLY, Richard, Sr., 71, of Stow, MA.,unexpectedly June 19, 2018. Companion of Beverly Harmon-Jodka of Stow. Father of Stacey Ruxton of Kingston, Amy Connelly Bunker of Brockton, Pamela Snow of East Bridgewater, Rick Connelly Jr. of Carver & Hannah Connelly of Stow. Also survived by 10 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild. Retired Boston Fire after 42 years of service, member of both the Boston Sparks & the Boston Fire Charitable Associations. Active in his community, Rick was an elected Assessor for the Town of Stow, former president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Isidore’s Parish & coach/manager for AVLL girls softball, Stow. Visiting Mon. June 25th 4-8pm at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral Mass Tues. at 10am at St. Isidore Church, 429 Great Rd. (Rte 117) Stow. Burial at 1:00pm in Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave. Boston. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to either the Charitable Association of the Boston Fire Department, 158 Train Street, Dorchester, MA 02122, or to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, c/o St. Isidore's Parish, 429 Great Road, Stow, MA 01775.
