Obituary for Grace M. Cobleigh (Smith)

Grace M.  Cobleigh (Smith)
Grace M. (Smith) Cobleigh, 94, a homemaker from Maynard and Acton died on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. Born on November 27, 1923 to the late Thomas and Grace (Wilder) Smith, she was a resident of Maynard and Acton and was the first wife of the late William L. Cobleigh, Jr.

A caregiver to many people throughout her life, Grace was known as a hard worker with a great disposition. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, going for rides and was a lover of cats. Grace will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children, Grace “Vicky” Black of Maynard, William “Butch” Cobleigh of Pepperell, Annie Glenn of Ashburnham; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings and her daughter Carol Gallo.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, June 4th from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5th in the Acton Funeral Home at 10:00am, followed with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery, Great Road, Maynard.
