Obituary for Paul Leo Colleton

Paul Leo Colleton, 79, longtime resident of Ayer, MA, died on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his residence with family members at his side. He was the beloved husband of 37 years to the late Donna Mary (Laete) Colleton who died in 2016.

Paul was born in Marlborough, MA, son of the late Francis and Emma (Badger) Colleton. He was raised in Stow, MA where he attended local schools. He was a longtime machinist locally working for Carlisle Screw Co. in Hudson and later Nuclear Metals Co. of Concord.

He is survived by his children, Lee P. Colleton and wife Linda of Leominster, MA and Cynthia Loiselle and husband Richard of Chester, MA. He also leaves his step-children, John Kopp Jr. and wife Tonette of Elgin, OK, Debora McLatchy, wife of the late Donald McLatchy of Ayer, MA; his 5 brothers, William Colleton of Florida, Robert Colleton of Virginia, Norman Colleton of Stow, MA, John Colleton of Clinton, MA, Stephen Colleton of Hudson, MA and predeceased by brothers Richard Colleton of Stow, MA and Donald Colleton of Hudson, MA. He leaves his loving 8 grandchildren, Nina Koveos of Lowell, MA, Andrea Colleton of Leominster, MA, Christy Loiselle of Chester, MA, Amanda Loiselle of Chester, MA, MichaelPaul R. Loiselle of Holyoke, MA, John Kopp III of Elgin, OK, Drew McLatchy of Ayer, MA, Daniel McLatchy of Ayer, MA; 6 adoring great grandchildren, Wendell, Gianna, Natalie, Shelby, Claire, Hailie; his daughter Stacy Lively of Arizona along with many nieces and nephews.

Paul was truly loved and cherished by his family. He enjoyed lake fishing and tinkering around his home with projects he found interesting. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Donna and cherished the times they shared together. He always looked forward to being with his family members, especially later with his grandchildren and great children. His unique personality will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Visitation at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10 am to 12pm followed by a service at 12pm in the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: American Cancer Society, P.O.
