Obituary for Patricia L. "Pat" (Troy) Kelly

Patricia L. (Troy) Kelly, 70, of Littleton, MA, formerly of Groton, MA and Maynard, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Patricia was born and raised in Charlestown, MA, daughter of the late James D. and Florence M. (Williams) Troy. She was the loving wife and best friend of the late Michael Merritt and was predeceased by her infant son Robbie Lowell whom she cherished her whole life. She is survived by her son Robert E. Lowell Jr. of Melrose, MA; daughter Christine (Lowell) Lawton and husband Edward of Groton, MA and her grandchildren whom fondly referred to her as “Nana” and she was fiercely proud of, Taylor, Kiley, Ashley and Michael Lawton all of Groton, MA. She is also survived by her brother Paul Troy of Billerica, MA; her sister Maryellen Venezia of Charlestown, MA; she was the sister of the late Eileen F. Merritt of Norton, MA and leaves many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends, including the wonderful people at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton and Emerson Hospital in Concord who brightened so many of her days providing a wealth of kindness, care and support during her time there.

Patricia, or “pat” as she was often called was bigger than life in the eyes of all who loved and knew her. She will always be remembered for her infectious personality, her strength and indomitable spirit. She battled several illnesses with dignity and pride and remained the heart and soul of her loving family until the end. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 10th, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 11th 2018 at 10am in St. Anne Church, 75 King Street, Littleton, MA. Burial services private.

The family of Patricia Kelly would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the excellent care provided by the caregivers at Emerson Hospital and Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley.
