Obituary for Robert Arthur Dion

Robert Arthur  Dion
Robert (Bob) Arthur Dion, 70, of Clinton, MA, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA after a period of declining health. Bob was born on June 24, 1947 in Waltham, MA, a son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Stickney) Dion. He is a graduate of Waltham High School. Bob married Paulette A. (Doucette) Dion in 1969. The couple were married for nearly 49 years at the time of Mrs. Dion's death on February 16, 2018. Mr. Dion was employed as a planner for over 40 years in the aerospace industry with W.H. Nichols and Parker (Hannifin) Corporation, before retiring to Shapleigh, ME and Clinton, MA. He was a long time former Maynard, MA resident, and also lived in Acton, MA and Stow, MA.

He leaves his son, Michael R. Dion and his wife Loretta S. (McKenna) Dion of Ranson, WV; grandchildren Timothy and Andrew Dion of Ranson; a sister, Carol Waddell of Maynard, MA and brothers James Dion of Alameda, CA and John (Jack) Dion and wife Maureen of Windham, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family to celebrate the lives of Bob and his wife Paulette on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Route 111), Acton, MA.Those who wish to make memorial gifts in Bob's and Paulette's names may donate to either Autism Speaks at https://www.autismspeaks.org; or to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
