Edward R. Ferguson, Jr., 65, of Marlborough, MA and formerly of Maynard, MA, died peacefully Friday March 30, 2018 at his home. Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Dorothy (O'Toole) Ferguson. His is survived by 2 sisters, Linda O'Leary and husband Robert of Cornonado, CA and Rosemary Ferguson of West Ossipee, NH; three brothers, Michael Ferguson and wife Pamela of Maynard, Scott Ferguson, his wife the late Sally Ferguson, of Maynard, and Daniel Ferguson and wife Anne of Harvard; his nephew and godson, Brian Ferguson, with whom he had a special bond, and several nieces and nephews.

Following his high school graduation, Ed served honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force. He was a skilled carpenter in the construction industry, and for the past two years was employed at Home Depot. Devoted to his mother, he is remembered as a fun-loving guy who enjoyed time with his friends. He especially enjoyed watching sports, cooking and music, and loved time spent in New Hampshire.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at 10:00am at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave, (Rte 111) Acton. Interment will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117) Maynard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
