Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort your mourning hearts. I pray that you find comfort in Revelation 21:3-5. This scripture paints a picture of a world that is very different from what we see today. A world with no more sickness, pain or death...and it is not a dream, it is a promise from God. He promises to reverse the effects of death and resurrect your precious one. You will never have to say a painful goodbye ever again!

Condolence: On behalf of the Acton Conservation Trust we were especially delighted that last year we recognized Brewster's enormous service to ACT, to land protection, and the community with the Carol Holley Conservation Volunteer award. Brewster was the epitome of what this award represents - getting involved in his community to protect the environment. He made countless contributions including being a Trustee of ACT since 1990. In addition, he has served on the Conservation Commission, the Cemetery Commission, Acton Arboretum, Garden Club, Acton Historical Society, Acton Water District Finance Committee, and has donated land to the Acton Water District for the Conant well.
He attended our last Board of Directors meeting on February 27. He seemed fragile, but fully engaged and gung ho to be elected to another term at the ACT Annual Meeting a few weeks later. When he didn’t attend, I called the first thing the next morning and learned we lost him. He is irreplaceable, and we miss him greatly.

Condolence: Hello,
I was so saddened to read of Brewster's passing. My connection with him was via his land across from Strawberry Hill Rd. Every year I would call to chat & ask permission to ride my horse & walk with my autistic son on those trails. I would always clear the trails, pick up the garbage & report any trespassing. My neighbor Bill Kingman is a mutual good friend. We will miss Brewster & are very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: I am so saddened by the passing of such a generous and gentle man. When we moved to Brook Street in late 2014, Brewster was the first person to drop by and welcome us to the neighborhood. Only later, working with him at the Acton Historical Society, did I realize the extent of his contributions to and involvement with the town, and how engaged and selfless a person he was. I will especially miss our walks through the forests and open spaces that he loved so much.

Condolence: Dear Family & Friends of this terrific guy,

My brother Duncan Ritchie and my husband John Cutting join me in sending our most heartfelt condolences on your loss. Brewster was a great friend of my Dad, Ken Ritchie and they, along with Mac Harring spent many happy days skiing together at Killington and in the West at Snowmass, Alta, etc. One could tell what fun they had.... just like the photo you chose for his obituary. Ah, laughter! A Brewster forte!
We three join you in missing his light but we'll never let it go out in our hearts.

Becky, John and Duncan
