Acton, MA - Jean Ann (Wohler) Roy, 83, of Acton, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at her home with family by her side. The beloved wife of Francis E. “Fran” Roy, she was born and raised in North Adams, MA to the late George C. Wohler and Margaret L. (Felix) Misciewitz.

After her marriage Mrs. Roy became part of a military family and lived in many different locations before settling first in North Chelmsford then in South Acton in 1967. She began her career as a bank teller at North Adams Trust while in high school, and later was employed by Harvard Trust and Baybank at various local branches until her retirement as Assistant Manager in the late 1980’s.

Jean enjoyed gardening and square dancing, and she and her husband, Fran, danced with the Acton Square Wheelers Club for many years. She was a member of the choir at South Acton Congregational Church.

She is survived by her husband Fran; three sons, Francis E. “Skip” Roy, Jr. and wife Linda of Ayer, Michael G. Roy and wife Nancy of Upton, David C. Roy and wife Wendy of Acton; a sister Virginia Cariddi of North Adams; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Bethany, Adam, Justin, Josh, Jeremy, Heather, Laura, and Heidi, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Jean was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret LeClair and Barbara Perry.

Visiting will be held on Wed. March 7th from 10am to 11am at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11am. Services will conclude with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Central Street, West Acton. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, P.O.
