She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred L. DeGrappo, Jr.m to whom she was married for 55 1/2 years at the time of his passing on February 5, 2017.

Ann was born in Adams Ma. She was the daughter of the late Francis John Haggerty and the late Marie Estelle (Conway) Haggerty. Ann was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Waltham where she spent most of her childhood. She moved to Maynard 56 years ago when she married her beloved husband Fred and remained there ever since.

Ann worked side by side with her husband at their family business The Corner Store.. When they sold the business she became the Maynard Public School Payroll Clerk until she retired. Ann and Fred were devout Catholics and very involved in their parish of St. Bridget’s in Maynard. They spent many years volunteering together with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She loved traveling the Caribbean with Fred and spending summers at their cottage in Ogunquit, Me with their family and friends. Ann belonged to several social clubs which brought her great happiness and joy. She felt incredibly blessed by her many friends.

Ann was an artist at heart. She created beautiful paintings for her friends and family that will be passed down and treasured forever. Her deepest values were her faith in God and her love of family, both the family she was born into and the family she created with her husband Fred. She had a gentle way about her that put all at ease. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Especially her 10 grandchildren who will miss her attendance at all of their events, her competitive spirit at board games and her unending love and support.
