Acton, MA - Gloria J. (Gentile) Cavooto, 87, died at home in Acton on January 23, 2018. Born to the late Harry and Theresa (Barsanello) Gentile in Woburn on August 5, 1930, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Fred T. Cavooto.

Gloria worked as a comptometer operator and bookkeeper for the Vogue Dolls Company before becoming the bookkeeper for her husband‘s engine rebuilding business all the while continuing in her role as a homemaker. A resident of Acton since 1962, she volunteered her time working to raise funds to benefit the Xaverian Missionaries. Her passions were cooking, baking and entertaining, especially for her family.

Mother of Thomas W. Cavooto and his fiancé Rosemarie Dowey of Leominster; grandmother of Michael Cavooto and his wife Jessica of Ashburnham, the late Angela and Joseph Cavooto. She is also survived by her great granddaughter Awna and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours Friday, Jan. 26th 4-8pm at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral Mass Saturday, Jan 27th at 11am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington St., Acton, followed by burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Acton.
