Obituary for Peter Carl LaGrassa

Peter Carl LaGrassa
Acton, MA: Peter C. LaGrassa, of Acton, MA (formerly of Sudbury, MA) died on January 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 53 years old.

Peter was born on May 14, 1964 in Concord, MA. He is the son of the late Frank LaGrassa and is survived by his mother, Margaret LaGrassa of Sudbury, MA. Peter attended the local schools where he grew up in Sudbury, MA. He went to Minuteman high school which is where he began his journey as a small engine mechanic. Peter graduated in 1982 and started to work at Moscariello’s

in Acton, MA. Peter worked there for most of his career but was also known as a jack of all trades; fixing whatever was in front of him.

Peter’s hobbies included fishing, cooking, and antiquing. Fishing wasn’t fishing unless he had someone there with him to witness his big catch, cooking wasn’t cooking unless he had someone there to enjoy his delicious meal, and antiquing wasn’t antiquing unless he had someone to show his latest treasure to. Peter was the epitome of a family man who always put others needs first. More than anything he loved to spend his days with his wife, children, dog Jordan, his extended family, and friends.

In addition to his mother, Peter leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 34 years, Michelle (Grant) LaGrassa; their beloved children Stephanie L. Manning, and Peter A. LaGrassa; his son-in-law, Bret A. Manning; his brothers Paul and Michael LaGrassa; his sister Teresa Boisvenue; His mother in law, Sarah Grant; his sister-in-laws Dawn LaGrassa and Andria Entsminger; his brother-in-laws Chad Entsminger and Michael Grant; his nieces and nephews Ashley Boucher, Jessica Leblanc, TJ Boucher, Casey LaGrassa, Brennan LaGrassa, Justin Boisvenue, Marky Entsminger, and Chris Entsminger. He is predeceased by his father Frank LaGrassa; his sister Donna LaGrassa; his brother Carl LaGrassa, and his sister-in-law Alicia Boucher.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thurs. Jan. 25th from 4pm - 7pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton. Peter donated what he was able for continued research for the fight against cancer and was hopeful for a cure for someone down the line. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Peter LaGrassa to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift. Memorial page actonfuneralhome.com
