Obituary for Kevin L. Flanagan

Kevin L.  Flanagan
Kevin L. Flanagan, 61, of Boxborough, MA and formerly of Maynard, MA passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Bloomfield, NJ and Ridgefield, CT, he was the son of Mary (McCauley) Flanagan and the late Patrick Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, and had a successful career in computer engineering for many years. He had many hobbies throughout his life including long-distance cycling, photography, windsurfing, camping and was also a recreational pilot and lover of classic rock. A family man, he loved time spent with his wife, children and extended family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia A. (Frey) Flanagan; their daughters Kelly E. Flanagan and Colleen P. Flanagan; two brothers, Neil and Robert Flanagan; a sister Patricia Carraturo; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.

Visiting hours are Friday December 29th, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave(Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 30that 10:00am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton with burial following in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Great Road (Rte 117) Maynard.
