Obituary for
Wei Wei Wang
Wei Wei Wang, 64, was a beautiful, youthful, woman who was taken from this world much too soon. She grew up in Beijing, China, and was the eldest of 4 siblings. She practiced medicine in China until her mid-30s when she moved to Boston, MA, and began a lifelong career as a laboratory scientist. Dedicated to her profession, Wei Wei worked at New England Medical Center for 10 years and Genzyme/Sanofi/Vericel for 19 years. Wei Wei was most proud, however, of her 2 children, and devoted herself to them. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and caring for her beloved dog, Cole.
Starting at an early age, Wei Wei was always a provider, whether it was caring for her younger siblings in China, creating a warm home, cooking delicious meals for family and friends, or generously sharing home-grown fruit with neighbors. She loved nature and animals, collecting art, and going on peaceful walks in the arboretum with Cole.
Wei Wei’s strong character and nurturing spirit will always be an inspiration to her loved ones. She will be dearly remembered by her daughter Europa and son-in-law Brendan, her son Philip, her husband Julian, her mother Qian Yun, brothers Wang Sha and Wang Yang, sister Wang Xiao Yun, and her dog Cole.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of the Acton Arboretum, Inc., PO Box 2607, Acton, MA 01720. Memorial page www.actonfuneralhome.com
