Obituary for Barbara Davis Warner

formerly Lexington: Barbara Davis Warner, 93, of Boxborough, MA former longtime resident of Lexington, MA died peacefully Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The beloved wife of 58 years to Robert J. Warner who died in 2007, she is survived by her 3 daughters, Leslie P. Warner of Westford, MA, Karen A. Warner of Boxborough, and Wendy L. Pompeo and husband John of Medford, MA; and her loving granddaughter, Leigh A. Pompeo.

Born and raised in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Helen G. (Bailey) Davis. Barbara attended local schools, was a graduate of Reading High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Tufts University in Boston. As an only child, Barbara developed her career at a young age under the tutorship of her father, and was a self-employed title examiner until her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting in her spare time. The coast of Maine was never far away as the family always looked forward to gathering throughout the years at their second home in Ogunquit, Maine. Mrs. Warner always cherished her quiet walks along the “Marginal Way” in Ogunquit. She spent many years as an active member of the First Parish Church in Lexington, and recently moved to Boxborough to be close to her daughter. All who knew and loved her will forever cherish her memories, especially the love she shared with them and her beloved pets.
