Robert O. “Bob” Wheeler, 76, of Harvard, MA formerly of Wakefield, MA died at his home on Monday, June 12, 2017.

He leaves his loving wife, Catherine (Bellantoni) Wheeler of Harvard and his children, Gregory Wheeler , Theresa Wheeler-Corbett, David Daniel Wheeler and Rachael Wheeler-Peisel. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, William Wheeler, Lawrence Wheeler, John Wheeler; his 9 grandchildren along with his many loving nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, son of the late W. Otis and Audrey (Hoyt) Wheeler. He was raised in Framingham. He spent many years as a builder and contractor locally. A former longtime Wakefield resident, he lived in Harvard for the past 21 years.

Bob had several interests throughout his life but always enjoyed a good round of golf with friends as a member of the Twin Springs Golf Course in Bolton. He cherished being outdoors, tending to the many projects including landscaping and gardening at his home. He was an avid Red Sox fan and always looked forward to the upcoming baseball season. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rt 111) Acton, MA 01720 on Fri. June 16th from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.
