Obituary for Nancy Marie Ericsson

Nancy Marie Ericsson
Nancy Marie Ericsson, 53, died at home in Acton unexpectedly on October 1, 2016. Born in Norwood on May 29, 1963 to the late Herbert and Marie Ericsson, she was raised in Norwood, Hyde Park and Dedham. During the 70's Nancy loved being an active participant of the former Norwood Debonaires Junior Drum Corps Marching Band.

Nancy attended Curry College, and was a longtime Avon representative and enjoyed selling the products. She also owned a word processing business, but her most satisfying job was at The Learning Express in Acton. Friends remember her saying she was really working for toys, as most of money went for toys for her beloved grand-nephew, Michael.

After living in Canton, Brockton, and Maynard she settled in Acton where she resided the last 30 years. She was passionate about the Lord. Known as a "Prayer Warrior," she lived His message, caring about everyone who crossed her path. Nancy also liked to read and enjoyed holding and the smell of real books rather than using electronic devices. She loved old movies, 80's movies, the Bay City Rollers and Amy Grant. Nancy's main focus was her family, and she loved them with all her being, watching the kids grow and reminiscing about old times.

She is survived by two brothers, Wayne and Carl Ericsson; a sister, Linda D'Amato; her great-nephew, Michael Burnham, to whom she was like a mother and was his legal guardian; two nieces, Diane Lavery and Ginger Gurung; 3 nephews, Charles, Anthony and Jonathan D’Aamato; great nieces and nephews, Chris, Elizabeth, Coby D’Amato and Sebastian and Piper Lavery. She is also survived by her Uncle Al and Aunt Priscilla Ericsson and many cousins.

Visitation at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte 111) Acton on Friday, October 7th from 9:00 to 10:00am, followed by her funeral service in the funeral home at 10:00am under the direction of her minister, Pastor Chais DiMaggio from the Burlington Church of Christ. Services will conclude with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, 104 Concord Road, Acton. Memorial page www.actonfuneralhome.com
