Life Story for
Jennifer Anne Zupicich
Family and friends are invited to the memorial Mass and Rite of Committal service on Saturday, March 14th for Jennifer Anne Zupicich, 27, of Boxborough died in a car accident in Virginia on the evening of Friday, February 6th. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 14th at 11:00am in Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord.
Born in New York, Jennifer grew up in the Acton-Boxborough community. She attended Gates Elementary School and R. J. Grey Junior High School before graduating from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in 2005, during which time she played in the Acton-Boxborough Youth Soccer league, attended the Acton-Boxborough Dance Center, and was an active participant in several ministries at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, including youth ministry, eucharistic ministry, Vacation Bible School, choir, altar serving, and more.
Jennifer attended Stonehill College and spent a semester studying in Florence, Italy, before graduating in 2009 with bachelor's degrees in English and elementary education. She was a long-term volunteer with the Christian Appalachian Project, working with young children at the Martin County Child Development Center in Inez, Kentucky, where she was very close with her students, coworkers, and friends. Kentucky held a special place in Jennifer's heart. Following the school's unfortunate close, she worked as a toddler teacher at the Riverside Children's Center in Newton, Massachusetts, before moving to work as a teacher at the Goddard School in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Jennifer was a kind, loving person who had an incredible smile. Her gift to the world was her love of the children she taught. She had such a special way with little children and she loved them as much as they loved her. Jennifer's passion was photography in which she took the most beautiful pictures of nature.
Jennifer leaves behind her parents, Fred and Carole; her siblings, Christina, Tommy, and Grace; as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless more friends and family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Previous services were held in February, with visiting hours on Monday, February 16th in Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton and the funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 17th at 11:00am at the church.
