Life Story for Oliver "Scott" Veling

Oliver "Scott"  Veling
Oliver Galbraith Veling, "Scott," age 60, of Lincoln, born November 10th 1953 in Buffalo, New York, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 7th 2014. He was a loving husband, and a strong father.

He met his wife at the age of thirteen at Camp Otter in Northern Ontario. Their love lasted for many years before they were eventually married in 1988. They raised one son together. He worked for the federal government for 25 years, most recently as a project manager for the food and nutrition service. He had a strong love for all animals, his childhood dog Kahn and his adult life cat Kato. He spent the last five months of his life coping with brain cancer. He is survived by his son Michael Veling and his wife Mary Jo Veling.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Fri. Aug. 15 from 2-3pm in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton. A memorial service will follow at 3pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neponset Valley Humane Society, PO Box 544 Norwood, MA 02062
