Obituary for Arlene B. (Erikson) Fraser
MAYNARD: Arlene B. (Erikson) Fraser, 85, a lifelong Maynard resident and owner of Erikson's Dairy, died peacefully Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Concord,MA she was the daughter of the late Hans H.A. and Mary E. (Boyd) Erikson. Mrs. Fraser earned a bachelor's degree from Miami University of Ohio, and a master's degree from Simmons College in Boston. She and her husband, Joseph A. Fraser, were married for 48 years at the time of his passing in 1999. She enjoyed tennis and swimming, and was a member of the Thoreau Club in Concord and co-founder of the Greenwood Club in Sudbury. Mrs. Fraser also enjoyed bridge, reading and trips to the islands, especially Montserrat.
She is survived by three sons, Scott A. Fraser of Pocasset, MA, Robert W. Fraser of Marlborough, MA and Thomas B. Fraser of Maynard; 8 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, October 20th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21st at 11:30am at the funeral home, with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery, Parker Street Gate, Maynard.
