Life Story for Ashley Elizabeth Samuel
Ms. Ashley Elizabeth Samuel was born on August 9, 2000 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and called to eternal rest on April 15, 2017, at the young age of 16. Ashley is the beloved daughter of Mrs. Mini Samuel and Mr. Benjamin Ozhumanil Samuel and sister of Mr. Jonathan Samuel residing in Saugus, Massachusetts.
Ashley was a junior at Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS) in Everett Massachusetts. She was a hard worker, and had many wonderful talents. She especially loved to sing Malayalam songs, and dance with her friends in church for different occasions. Ashley was devoted to her church and steadfast in her faith. She held a leadership position in the MGOCSM (Youth Group) as the Treasurer and was a member of GROW ministries attending conferences and camp. She dreamt of becoming a doctor to serve the underprivileged, not for fame or money. “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”-Mahatma Gandhi’s words were her inspiration. She worked diligently to pave her own way with merit. She volunteered with many organizations and was involved in a service mission trip in India when she passed. Ashley always greeted everyone with arms wide open and a smile on her face. She will be terribly missed.
Ashley is survived by her paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Ashley’s life was an example of unconditional love, self-sacrificing, and altruistic service to others. That is her legacy to us.
